Wild Khat, in Jersey?
    #5798671 - 06/28/06 09:00 AM (17 years, 7 months ago)

I'm pretty sure I found a random wild Khat (catha edulis) plant in my backyard. Its young, but it looks exactly like my young plants.

I got the root and all when I transplanted it, but it won't perk up since yesterday. Any Suggestions?

This is quite possibly the easiest way to get something free on the internet. When asked which offer(yea, just 1) you will complete, you want to choose video professor. You can get a full refund on shipping and everything. Once five people (don't even have to know them) complete the offer as well...you get an IPod. I sh*t you not.

1. i have a bottle of superthrive right in front of me

2. i found another young plant about the same size in relatively the same spot, but got a better grip on the roots.

3. i think the other one just needs to dry out...i overwatered it.

4. ironically, the khat that i found in the back is in a shady, moist area, covered with mulch...go figure

5. when you use superthrive, how much do you use per gallon? i think i use too little.

mulch creates heat so maybe if u put the plant on a heat pad and use a humidity dome it will revive. I am in fl what temps are dealing with?

nah, i think i got too little of the roots or something, because my other one i found today perked right up. Also, i brought them both inside, because its like 90 out and id rather have more control of the temp. As for the humidity tent, I know khat doesn't like much humidity and i tried that yesterday to no avail...idk mayb ill try again.

thanx.

Do you mean Jersey as in the island or Jersey as in New Jersey? Although not native to either place (or I would have though suited to the conditions there) I'd be less surprised to see it growing in New Jersey.

Supertrive says use 1 DROP per gallon, not 1 Tablespoon.

Is that even possible?
