My thoughts (what religion is this, if any?)

I believe the universe is a gridwork of energy. Positive and negative energy constantly reacting and creating. Everything is interconnected and embraced by everything else. We (humans, and all the problems that our ability to choose brings us) are merely organisms clutching onto a planetary mass in a solar system in this particular galaxy at this particular moment in time. We fade in and out of existence and conciousness, just as any type of energy does. Death just brings us closer to, and re-circulates us through this gridwork of energy.
Now, my question is: is there a particular label for this type of philosophy/"religion"?
===Some things I still have yet to come to terms with/figure out (for myself)===
1. time: i have no idea how i feel about this. to me, time is the oddest dimension/force that we can somewhat view from a certain perspective. other than that, it baffles my mind.
2. death: i still haven't come to terms with death. through meditation i have begun to gradually accept it more and more. but i still keep wanting (human nature kicking in (-: ) to feel like there should be more after death. but when i look at things from a logical perspective, i usually reason death out like this...What was life like before birth? I cannot remember it. I feel as though I was not concious for this. If that is true, then I feel that death will be the same. An unfeeling, unconcious void. And if that is true, then what is to fear?
Anyways, enough ranting, please help me expand upon anything any of you don't understand.

Hmm... its tough to nail your thoughts down to a perticular philosophy, but the first thing that came to my mind was Taoism.
(This seems like the best explaination of Taoism I've seen on this forum:)
Quote:
Ravus said:
Taoism states that, like the system of quantum physics was implemented into our system of reality, all the infinite, incomprehensible systems fit into one great Way, one unified System. This system cannot even be given a name or comprehended in our current system, but the unity it creates is the only absolute- other than that, everything is indeed perception and subjectivity.
This is why Taoism states that colors blind the eyes, sounds deafen the ears and thoughts cause ignorance in the mind. We only exist in our tiny subjective system, and if we try to work purely through it, we'll never see the great Way that unites everything beyond us.
Admittedly, my knowledge concerning Taoism is inept, so I hope I'm not totally off the ball here! In my understanding, Tao can be considered the one great, unified process that underlies all reality. Fitting it into your thoughts, Tao sounds like the "gridwork of energy" that "is interconnected and embraced by everything else."
If someone is wise to the Tao and I am wrong about this, please correct me!

I'd almost attribute that to holistic pagan-y wiccan-esque leyline stuff. I guess that isn't really very helpful, though...
Calling Tao a gridwork or saying death brings us closer to it starts to define it. And if it's defined, it's limited. And if it's limited, it sure ain't Tao. As I see it, bafflement brings us closer to understanding the nature of Tao, though for all I know death may do the same. Toss in some stuff about dualism and virtue and wu wei and we can call that Taoism, though. At present I'd say it's a bit too structured. But hey, I'm just some guy, who am I to judge?
"If that is true, then I feel that death will be the same. An unfeeling, unconcious void. And if that is true, then what is to fear?" You sound like Socrates, there. Don't go drinking any hemlock tea, I don't care how delicious they tell you it is!

I dont know if your thoughts are or would be considered a religion and it scares me to think they might be.
They are very interesting thoughts and hit home for me.I havnt been able to put them in words as you have when I try to explain to people.
There are many differences in what I believe and dont believe compared to you,but it seems my general idea is quite close to yours. We and everything else are all connected and a part of an underlying energy that cannot be seen by a person who doesnt know what to look for.
I am quite interested in Taoism now.

What do you mean it scares you that there might be a religion like this?
What scares me is people dedicating/wasting their lives on religious rituals as seen in Catholicism and Islam. Not meaning to offend, but I can't come up with a better waste of time and prana than organized religions.

can the consciousness evolve beyond its material limitations?
is the nature of materialism defined by our consciousness?
if our consciousness evolves then does our understanding of
materialism change, as my consciousness evolves the current meaning
dissolves, what is in fact material is an abstraction of the
evolution of our consciousness, as the meaning evolves does the
nature evolve, understanding can manipulate nature if one
chooses.....
