My Shiva Lingams!

Well, I posted in Dr. J's "coolest magic wand ever" thread about my Shiva Lingam, but today I bought a NEW ONE!
This is a massive, heavy, ostrich-sized one. OMG, this rock chose me--not vice versa!
I bought a little stand for it as well! Here is some basic info from an online shop that sells them. The info is more or less the same that the local store gives you when you buy one.
Colour: The colour and patterning of the stone vary a lot, from grey to beige, to brown and a reddish brown.
Countries found in: The stones are found exclusively in the Narmada river, which is located in the mountains of Mandhata in India.
The stones are made of crypto crystalline quartz and legend has it that they formed when a meteorite fell to earth several million years ago. The natural movement of the river is believed to help create the egg or oval shape of the stones. They're only gathered on one day each year and are hand polished to give them a smooth and gleaming surface.
Metaphysical Properties:
Shiva Lingam's are said to have one of the highest frequency vibration rates of all the stones on earth. As such, the vibration is said to be perfect for purification purposes, whether at home, work or in an area of sacred space.
The shape of the stone represents male energy (knowledge) and the markings, which differ greatly from stone to stone, represent female energy (wisdom). Together the two elements signify the merging of male and female energy and the stones can act as a reminder to us to balance our own male-female energies and create a more harmonious state of being.
In India, the only place where they're found, they're regarded as being sacred and holy stones and are highly thought of in both Hindu and Buddhist belief systems.
And here are some personal pictures of the new "family" of Daddy and Baby Lingams! Notice the red "dot" on the smaller one. It's not round in that spot but flat. I find myself rubbing that red dot over and over like a "worry stone".
These stones seem to be able to hold MASSIVE ammounts of mental energy. I think it has somthing to do with the microscopic quartz crystals. It's like instead of a lightswitch (normal crystal) these are like microprossesors!
I pick this massive daddy lingam up and instantly my eyebrows raise and I feel "serenity". . .
I have many stones of all diffrent sources. . . but above all, I "love" these stones the most. I love them more than my Moqui marbles (that exhibt even MORE noticable physical effects). . . There is "somthing" about these stones that really is great!
I bought the little one for less than 10$ and the big one for 30$ locally. Online they really rape customers. I'm so thankfull there is a local vendor that sells these stones at reasonable prices.
They have a watermellon-sized lingam going for a couple hundred...im considering getting it someday for an outside garden. It would be a "centerpiece" to my backyard.
Oh yeah the pictures, I almost forgot!!!

When using stones and crystals,is it possible to transfer negative energy into them?Or drain them?
If this is possible can it happen when trying to use them?Or could it happen only if someone is trying to drain them or make them negative?
Or do I have this all wrong and the rules for these things are not set in "stone"?....hehe

It's more like information in general. No different then how we use silicon crystal computer chips to store information in these days. Different in how the information is stored and retrieved of course. The memory storage capacity of them is awesome which is why they're being used in computers now.
They can be cleared through certain methods I read. Not sure how well those methods work though. I don't have any myself.
Beautiful stone you have there mystik!

Interesting. So it all depends pretty much on what you put into it?
I asked because I wouldn't want to be trying to "energize" a piece of quartz while in a bad mood and accidentally fill it with potentially harmful energy. Then I would have this piece of quartz that is full of "bad information" which I intended to be for good purposes, but, not to my knowledge,is the exact opposite.I have feared this when holding important possessions of mine to raise my spirits while in a shitty mood.
Just a thought.

Sweet, be sure to do some abhishek with it (at least mentally ) I've thought about getting a quartz sri chakra but it's kind of expensive for a nice one.

It's interesting. I can't hold onto the big-boy one for very long. It's like I have this urge to set it down 5 min or so after holding it. LOL..."to...much...POWER!!!"
If I quiet my mind whille I hold it, and just let myself "be" in silence, I can feel a slight tingly-vibratory sensation in my hands. Last night the entire rock started to get very warm...lol
MystikMushroom and his magical rocks...haha!

Damn this big one is awesome!
I have it in my lap right now and my whole lower body is tingling. Im also "happy as HELL"
Yes! The writers for Indiana Jones used the Lingam as the basis for the Temple of Doom...
Actually, Lingams in and of themselves come in a variety of materials and shapes...*Shiva Lingams* are special in that they come from only ONE river, and only one village harvests them...they are polished, smoothed and since their shape and composition are excellent naturally--they are made into Lingams.
From what I gather so far, a Lingam is a phallic object that represents both male and female energy in the Hindu religion. On this Shiva Lingam (which is seriously one amazing rock!), the colors/patterns represent female, and the shape is male...
Oh man my legs are going numb! Seriously!
Granted, im hella baked...but i always can sense more subtle things when high

I have about 20 Narmada lingas in my house. The two largest are over a foot in height. It is good to water them and say the panchakshari over them. They are great for getting rid of negativities, to produce a better meditation environment. The ones you have are very beautiful.
One might also look into Shaligrams.
