check nurseries man thats probably the best way to go, or farm and garden supply store.last time i went to a nursery this guy that was workin there told me that vermiculite is being taken off the shelfs of alot of stores because they might put a prop 59 on it or somthing. making it illigal due to the fact that it causes cancer when it is mined for due to the fact that asbestis is produced or somthing. peace.tt

Ha ha I wouldn't have deserved to find it if I asked for verm ,No I clearly said vermiculite at everyone of the places and, nothing,I live in a pretty urban area so the only real places to look for that kinda stuff is in the garden centers of places like walmart and home depot,But I'm serious it just must not be around here cause my girl lives like 35 miles away in a pretty farmish/hillbilly area and I checked the nursery nd garden center out by her to,still nothing.O well guess there are just some things in this hobby you have to order.Never seen spore syringes or poo up for grabs either, thank god for the internet.

Try searching for a hydroponics store. Must urban areas have at least one of them. Just do a search over at http:/local.google.com for hydroponics near <zip code>

You must live in a really stupid area. If they don't know what it is they have no business working around plants or soil. I'd straight up tell them that if I came across someone who didn't know about verm. I'd probably have them get their supervisor and tell him that this guy needs to be busted down to cart pushing cause he don't know shit about gardening.

Do you live in the US and they dont know what it is? Cuase personally I live in Switzerland and I cant find either vermiculite OR perlite at any fucking garden center around here. I've looked everywhere. I described to a woman once what perlite was and what it was used for and she brought me to these huge bags of little balls which look exactley like perlite from a distance, but when I got closer I realized they were just tiny styrofoam balls. lol. I also tried when I was in Holland to find these 2 things and there I also didnt manage.

Sucks you cant find the stuff, but I'm glad I'm not the only person in the world who can't access this shit easily.
