    #5331727 - 02/23/06 01:28 PM (18 years, 28 days ago)

lately ALL of the cakes i do get contaminated, so i got thinking one day and i thought that ive never actually kept a contaminated cake and tried growing it. anyone know what would happen if i were to place a contaminated cake in a seperate terrarium and let it grow?

It is not worth the consequences...which could result in extreme sickness, or maybe death. I doubt death, but why chance it? Just toss them out and start over.

Do you have a PC? That should help with contams. Then you could try to make an LC that way you dont have to worry about wasting spores.

Then throw them in a hole outside. You really dont want them around any other grow attemps, or even yourself.

Don't do it. Eat them that is. No matter how normal they look, it's probable that they've absorbed toxins from whatever has contaminated the pot. There's some pretty nasty stuff around.

I've grown contamed cakes for the hell of it
They had trich and the mushrooms had green bases and wouldn't come off. They kinda went mushy in my fingers and tore off. I got green shite all over my hands. It was pretty fucking sick and the smell was awful. Only in retropect do I realise how stupid this was to do but i didn't get ill luckily. I wouldn't recommend it. After all it may be someone else in your house who gets sick just from the spores and exposing other people to mad schemes isnt always the best idea.
