I miss the old shroomery

Remember the good ol days, (sniff sniff). There used to be some solid debate going on (whine whine) Now it's just a few blathering idiots (bitch bitch) Spewing gobbledygook and bullshit.(piss, moan). Where have all the real spiritual people gone? (I'm better than you)
Thank you for your responses in advance.

S&P has gone through several phases, and I don't think the current one is as nearly as bad as some of the other ones. I'd rather be debating about humility, compassion, Christ, and so on than go back to the UFO days where it was all about the plaedians and reptilians and how humans were created by aliens rather than evolving from apes. Though it's starting to wane, I think for a while quite recently, there was an upswing of spirituality in here.

There was a guy named Shantideva who lived many centuries ago and said something like: If you are unhappy, then do something about it. If you can't do something about it, then don't be unhappy.
So basically I'm trying to say that if you aren't thrilled by the new style of threads (and to be honest I find some of them to be uninteresting as well), then start some new threads that are more interesting. Otherwise, don't let yourself become unsatisfied as that is only counterproductive.

No kidding. Plus, I like the blue and turquoise better than the tan and brown colour scheme. If I'm excessively nostalgic at times, it's just 'cause these rosy-hued specs are so damn slick-looking I can't seem to take 'em off. Plus some people have moved on from this forum that I kinda wish hadn't.

maybe people got sick of the gobblie goo...remember when the holier than thou churches only allowed the word of god to be spoken in latin! and the only ones permitted to interpret the word where these men of god. then the rest of the world picked up on this. operas where written in italian by order of the king; becuz, if they where song in german everybody would roll over laughing. then the philosophers wrote in gobblie goo, some of the plays addressed the masses (shakespear), but they continue to have the ubermensche and the nothings. then along came the rolling holies spouting stuff that was made up based on all of this. then came tv, the internet, and lsd...

Theres no difference really. I'm just kidding in this post.
I really have run out of things to say so I can't be counted on for anything intelligent (if I ever could). I really have gotten what I came to the Shroomery for. I wanted to know if anyone was on the same wavelength as me. I also wanted to work on my ability to communicate ideas and develope them in a debate format. I wanted to see if I could hook up a relationship with any warriors. I wanted to see where the psychedelic population was at these days and if there seemed to be anything to the idea of a mass spiritual transformation in humanity. I wanted to meet new people. I wanted to play. I have done all that and have all my answers and all the questions have repeated for the third time now. I doubt that I will post here often anymore.(This is good for the folk who think I'm a real prick) Over all I think the Shroomery is exactly as it should be.

I took a young man hiking yesterday, he's 5 years old, as black as othello, and very focused. he can tell you whats happens to a stepfather when he hits a 2 year old in the head with a bottle of bleach. he knows when to lie and when to tell the truth
but he also enlighten me; if you listen to what he was saying, you knew you where talking to god...
if you've run out of words it's time to listen...

Think so? I'm having my internet access disconnected from my house in three days time. I have some important things to do and I have run out of time.

Dude your registration date says 03/05 you don't know jack shit about the "old shroomery" sorry. I appologize If I am wrong and you have been here before under a differnent name though its possible I have been here since 01 and here under a different handle since 99 so I would say Im a little more qualified to tell you the new shroomery isn't that much different from the old shroomery. I just miss the swamster what ever happened to him? He was resident skeptic no. 1 and could put any bullshitter in their place especially his arch nemisis shroomism with his alien talk.

I think back in the day Swami made a great contribution to S&P, but he eventually got too full of himself, and it became more about him than it was about S&P. I think by the time he got permabanned, he had become a shadow of his former self.
