Is it possible to produce Cordyceps?

Is it possible to produce Cordyceps? There's a white, stringy, upwards growing fungus. Could it be Stroma?

Yes, it's possible, but there are probably only a handful of people that have accomplished it. Are you saying you're growing it now, and have the white stringy upwards growth? That's very interesting...Please post some pics.

Fungus First Aid [Re: Jeremy_Davis]
    #5795579 - 06/27/06 11:27 AM (17 years, 7 months ago)

Actually I just didn't research 'Cordyceps' enough, and misunderstood what it actually was.. but thanks for the awesome link, it provides some useful information.  Upon further investigating of my first crop, it seems my mycelium (top layer) might be sealed.  I waited too long, and it's covering my casing with a white fungus that branches out.  Basicly I know it could be ready to fruit, but I think that top layer is a little inpenetrable.  Don't want to 'scratch' it, and looking into how I can give my fungus a little first aid, hopefully make it fruit.  :mushroom2:

:edited for same reason:
