Pressure Cooking for the first time

I have my substrate jars ready to cook.
I've grown before using the boiling-water-pot method, but never PC'd.
What do I need on the bottom of my PC? Water? Towel? Both?
I'd like to avoid exploding jars if possible... hehe

both. Put enough water in there so that it wont go dry after an hours or so. but you don't want it sloshing up into the jars of course.

i put marbles in my PC to prevent jar breaking. my PC also has a metal insert that keeps your jars from touching the bottom of the cooker. i fill it with about 1 and 1/2" of water.

i wouldn't put marbles. If your PC has an insert then you dont need to put anything in there. If you feel worried about it just lay a wash cloth on top of the insert.
thoguht you could use some shrooms to help encourage you.

Marbles in a pc doesn't sound very safe to me!~
PC malfuncions and blows up... sending marbles flying around like a bouncing betty bomb!~
Always think of your personal safety!~
