Went on a vacation to Spain with the wife and inlaws. Had a great time. It was dry as hell and I saw hardly any mushrooms, but I did see these beautiful ear looking fungi that I though I would share.

Glad to be back on the forums.

That is cool!
Did you touch it? It looks like it would feel like latex.

I did touch them. Very thick, like skin. Also very soft. Maybe they were actually some kind of undiscovered, little mammal!

Nice photos and specimens.
wang_chung00, if your testicles look like that you probably need to see a doctor.
Happy mushrooming!

Nice find They look like Heterotextus miltinus, jelly buttons. Heres a pic of a young one!
I have a book which describes these as forming ridges or angles on the outside with age. inski.

I tend to think it is a Auricularia-auricula judae

I think you might be right Anno. I looked through my Rogers of North America, but didn't find anything that matched too well. But his website is for europe. Also, I forgot to mention that the mushroom felt like it had a fuzzy surface, and Rogers describes A. judae as having minute hairs. I guess we haven't completely ruled out that the tree had sprouted a set of testicles, but I think A judae is a more likely candidate.
