the world's most interesting people (who am i missing?)
    #5795068 - 06/27/06 07:55 AM (17 years, 7 months ago)

THis is a small list of some of the people I find most inspiring / interesting. Feel free to throw some more names at me, and I will consider adding them!

http://lf8.org/?people

(in case you are wondering why this is in THIS forum, the page is focused on esoteric / paranormal knowledge)

it should say "The world's most (well-known) interesting people."

Lots of people have paranoid delusions that are just as interesting as David Icke's, they just don't go to the troiuble of getting them published. It seems to me that if Mr Icke were really interested in saving mankind, he would publish his work for free on the internet instead of selling it at barnes and knoble like the complete whore that he is.

i agree, thats why im asking for more names, if you know of any.

alan watts is one i suppose, but only recently came across his work, and havent gotten into it at all.

also, on the page i dont claim that they are the most interesting or anything, that was just what we call an "attention-grabber"

that's a nice list so far.
I'd consider adding:

Robert Anton Wilson

Emmanuel Velikovksy
Quote:

Immanuel Velikovsky has done the most astounding work on earth catastrophy. Shunned by nearly all of the scientific community, his theories have never been refuted. Albert Einstein is said to have left a copy of one of Velikovsky's books open on his desk at his death. Velikovsky, working with the papyri, showed a more correct date for the exodus from Egypt; the mid-fifteenth century rather than mid-thirteenth. His work encompasses physical, cultural, and lengendary studies from the whole earth.

John Anthony West

Fritz Springmeier - currently in Federal Prison on bogus charges!

Wilhelm Reich

John W. Keely

Phil Schneider

Helena Petrovna Blavatsky

gullible man and was duped.

I've read that too.

The guy was so far ahead of his time, reading his work is like reading science fiction.  Could he have been so business dumb to have all of his work ripped off and died poor and broke? Maybe. I do know people who are extremely creative and innovative and yet very business and people dumb.

One could say Einstein sold out when he contracted with the government to help them understand Tesla's  stuff with the Philadelphia experiment.

One could say he was gullible and duped too when they told him they wanted that technology to help them win the war against Germany. Pffffft yeah right. I read that Einstein later regretted working with our government too on many projects.

Who knows for sure?

I should've said that it's to bad his most far out work ended up in the governments hands. For all we know all of the UFOs we are seeing flying around are man made as result of his work. For all we know, our government is sending people through time and worm holes into other galaxies and what not as a result of his work.

Oh well, it's still awesome to see human potential like his.

:peace:

just another human who bought tech secrets from the greys.

cool guy, though. very capable. put his power to good use.

I use tesla in arguenmts about ETs a lot.

people are like: "UFO's, ETs, thats bullshit."

then I'm like: "Well, Nicola Tesla discovered Alternating Current, and said he got the idea from ETs. So you can call him crazy all you want, but every time you flip on a lightswitch, you are using a 'crazy man's' discovery."

wait wait wait..

(first of all, thanks for reminding me of Bentov.. my mind has been elsewhere it seems)

secondly: how did tesla sell out? id say the opposite.. he forced countries to share secrets by splitting his blueprints up between different superpowers (at the time it was russia / us / etc i believe)

also, when did Tesla say he got info from ETs?

http://business.gorge.net/zdkf/kufol/kul-tsp.html

"Now, even more startling are the events that immediately preceded Wardenclyffe! In the late 1890s, Nikola was mysteriously invited to come out West to Colorado and there to conduct some of his electrical experiments. Then, the discovery of the century occured! TESLA CLAIMED THAT HE WAS CONTACTED BY MARTIANS!!!

Now, when we had originally intended to review his work, it was with a scientific perspective and we were going to publish it in the Institute Library (as scientifically significant literture). However, this startling twist of fate changes the whole tone of Tesla's life! For, as you may have noted from our other Articles in KUFOL, we had traced the RANI (Resident Alien Nation) to making its appearance in Western American in the history of our late 1800s! Consequently, by sheer logicstics, Tesla and the RANI were in the same area at the same time! But, did they have contact? Well, Tesla claims that he talked with some kind of Martians!"

just re-watched peewee's big adventure!

one of my favorite all time movies!

my favorite scene is where peewee is in the burning pet store, trying to save all the animals.

He keeps running past the snake tank, and giving it this look like: "I know I should save the snakes, but I really don't want to."

Then at the last minute, he runs out of the store with an arm full of snakes, screaming at the top of his lungs!
