An after springs hunt

I went on a hunt not too long ago and have to say that it one of my best.
I started by clapping this Amanita which I herd echoing through out the entire hunt.

I then found this polypore.

Then the witches butter.

And finally the oysters galore!!!

I would post more pictures on this, but the damn shroomery doesn't let me post for shit!

SCORE !
Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner......minus the Amanita of course.....ya those Oysters will stay forever in the fridge.....when you got that many could always cook then freeze.......some clusters dont always taste so great....
Cat I think you might have Oysters closer than you think......long as you can hunt down some Willows along streams or creeks usually close by and I hear Pendleton's got great areas but dont think youll make it too far there (least I would hope not).......and if you can hunt down any kind of Oaks.......Ive got Chanterelle patches less than half mile from the sand......this year they were everywhere.

Nice oyster patch. I should probably go out and look for some with all of the rain that we have been getting out here. The only ones that I have found this year were old and rotting.

Actually, I did find what I think were some oysters (just a couple) growing off the roots of a pine, but I was in a rush to get to work and didn't have time to harvest them. I just stopped, poked one, thought "huh, oysters" then went on my way to work. Hehe, that was about a month ago. Oh, and they had gills.
I'm closer than I care to be to the marines where i am, I am soooo not going to pendleton. Hehehe
