Panaeolus of sort of course. Look to be of campanulatus...? They aren't of any use, I can tell you that much.

It's hard to tell sometimes... The rings on the cap of subbs do fade into a light brown colour when they have been exposed to the sun for a while.  But then, the rings are often what set subbs apart from other Pan. species, as Panaeolus mushrooms tend to display very similar characteristics consistent within the genus.  I have had this problem with identification before, fortunately, Panaeolus mushies are not poisonous, thus, adding them to your collection of subbs is a reaonable move... if they are not active, you simply won't get any buzz, and if they are, then congrats.  :wink:  But be very certain of spore print- you want jet black.
