culturvating

I have some jars that are culturvating. I am happy to say that they are actually starting to cuture, but I am worried. On some of the areas that are just starting to form a network ( or whatever) there are brown spots. These brown spots do not really look like contamination they just look like a discolored spot. It is a lite brown and i am thinking maybe water damage. Any opinions?

Mark the spots (with a tear of tape or grease pen) and keep an eye on them. If they grow, its probably contamination.

Watch them, if the brown spots grow like Marley said then its a contam if they just stay put and dont spread throughout your mycellium growth then its most likely waste. Also check the smell of your cakes if it smells like sour apples, absoloute shit, or something even the slightest vile - then its most likely a contam.
Right now myself I have spots of yellowishbrown on some of my cakes but its probably from water damage or mycel waste since they dont spread and there tiny spots which i only have like 1-2 on my cakes. Also my jars dont have any smell coming from them at all so I can say all my jars are sterile, it appears atm.
All we can do is wait observe and pray
Good luck man I hope its not a contam and if it is dont give up, your bound to reach sucess sooner or later
