i would think indirect misting would be fine. That's what most of the teks advise if you need to mist but there is pins. Just carefull misting around the pins.

is it ok to mist if there are no pins, just mycelium?
nevermind, answered my own question.
Pyrobull33 - "I mist mine quite a bit each day so they look damp/wet, but not soaking. The mycelium will be fine, its just absorbing the water it needs probably... "

You can mist well between the pins if you need a lot of moisture. I've even poured a bit out of the mister by taking the nozzle off and pouring a small amount between the pins. You shouldn't have to resort to that unless you get behind the curve on moisture content, which is easy to do in hot weather. Last time I looked, my FC was over 94F. I'll probably have to pour some water on later as described above. It's a major heat wave here and most of us have no air conditioning due to the mild nature of the 'normal' climate. RR

If your pins are set then mist very lightly several times a day will not hurt provided you have adequate FAE. BTW pins are set when you can see caps reddish or brown. Just remember many light mistings (1-2 squirts upward from a distance) are beneficial whereas 1-2 heavier misting per day can do serious damage.
