Most definitely! Many times we have early breakthroughs that prematurely pin by picking this early volunteers we give back that energy needed to produce bumper crops. The secret is to catch these early bolters quickly as they will have an effect on the rest right from the get go. Waiting will of course wastes precious energy that will affect overall yield.

imo the light and the fae are the most important factors. the only reason to make a drastic change in temp would be if you had a problems getting pins. and if ur having problems getting pinset ....patch case thats the only way you get the big beautiful flushes

No patching needed due to early pins.

Im pretty inexperianced when it comes to growing. I haven't had big bad ass pin sets at all. But what i found to work is at a lower temperature more pins form, but when the pins are formed if you crank up the heat the mushies get bigger way faster. My friends setup is one big tub with small tubs filled with water at the bottom and a heating pad underneith the big tub. His substrate is in alluminum tins sitting on the little tubs full of water. After he pick my fruits he doesn't turn on the heating pad until i see the new pins form, and when they do he turns on the heating pad. His heating pad has an auto off, and a check in a few times a day and turn it on. He hasn't had "flushes". Pretty much pins and shrooms are forming continuous. Pretty much 6-10 shrooms are ready at a time.

Fruits do grow faster at warmer temps to a point.

this is a result of the mycellium not colonizing the casing layer correctly. If you don't see patches of white, or mycellium poking through the casing layer, then either the myc colonized only a small portion before it began to pin, or it was already in fruiting mode when you put the casing layer on.
I bet that if you took a spoon and lightly removed the casing layer you would be able to take almost all of it off. A big reason this can happen is that your casing layer is too thick. Every time i case i try to remove as much excess as possible, you don't want big piles of casing layer collecting on top as it will be colonized unevenly. Some people like to use the canning rings to measure out how thick they lay their casing layers down, i believe the rings height is 5/8's of an inch. It's an easy way to guage how thick you are going. When i case i always try to case on the thin side of things, sometimes it can make the grow more difficult because it can't hold as much moisture, but most of the times it allows the mycellium to colonize the casing layer evenly thus providing you with the ability to produce a robust pinset.

I wanted to add that I think another thing swim did to initiate early pinning was checking the casings too much. The light exposure must have been enough to make the myc switch gears.
