If you asked me, "Are you a Bob Dylan fan?" just a few months ago, I would have told you no. Then I heard about a little album called Blonde on Blonde, and it has made me quite the fan. I love it.
So I'd suggest it to anyone who hasn't listened to it.

I've just got into Dylan myself, after years of just listening to a greatest hits compilation I wonder why it's taken me so long to get his albums:
Another Side of Bob Dylan Bringing it all back Home Highway 61 Revisted Blonde on Blonde
All good albums.
If you're ever blue listen to "I Shall be Free - No. 10" (on "Another Side...") it'll crack you up:
"Well, I set my monkey on the log And ordered him to do the Dog He wagged his tail and shook his head And he went and did the Cat instead He's a weird monkey, very funky."

I've enjoyed his music for most of my life. My wife is his 2nd cousin! Mother-in-law used to see him at family reunions in Minnesota.

If you haven't heard it you should check out the song gates of eden. I can upload it once i get home, that and john brown are my two favorite dylan songs.
Dylan is the best, too bad he's getting to old to play shows like he used to.

for real, i remember them days when he would do crazy ass cartwheels on stage and light the speakers on fire in petroleum and them do some kick-ass guitar solo till the sky bled.

last time i saw him was in 04 at bonnaroo. He had a crappy setlist, didn't play the guitar (played the piano, poorly), and his voice was even more unintelligble then usual. Maybe just an off night, but undoubtedly the worst dylan show i've seen. It was pretty dissapointing as he was one of the performers i was most looking foward to see.

my mom picked up 4 dylan tapes, in the discount bin at some record store. Then they got put in the car, and played constantly, back to back, like the same one tape would be going for like a week, over and over, then we'd eventualy get sick of it and throw in another tape...
those were another side of bob dylan highway 61 bob dylan bringin it all back home.
the current/previous summer my brother, cousin and i spent the better part of 3 months listening to the album "DESIRE" (get it, get it, get it) playing james bond on the 64

Blonde on Blonde is one of my all time favorite albums. I highly recommend the No Direction Home sound track (and check out the movie if you haven't already). Other Dylan albums I love:
Any of the bootleg series (volumes 1-6) Basement Tapes Blood on the Tracks John Wesley Harding Highway 61 Revisited Bringing it All Back Home Another Side of Bob Dylan The Freewheelin' Bob Dylan
