Well here is my find today, I tried to use my camera as efficiently as possible (zoom and whatnot) so you could make out the blue spots this time. But I tossed away about 3 lbs of mushies that looked just like blue foots, but since no one has given me an answer on those ones, Iguess I'll never know ........ but here is what i found today.
Habitat: Wood - Found in deciduous woods, growing straight from birch sticks and right outta the ground
Gills: The gill color is dark brown
Stem: White and hollow, bluing at base and random spots on the stem
Cap: Fresh:tan to almost grey like Dried:Cream to tan to brownish
Spore print color: Chocolate brown
Bruising: blue at base of stems and some on caps
Location: Picked in Doddridge County, WV

The suspected blue foots I have been picking match this sporeprint

THis is the best shot i can get of the bluing (on the bottom of the stem)

Yes, those are bluefoots. The blueing is not showing up well on your pictures. It may be the lighting or your camera. Try taking a picture in natural lighting or with some other kinds of light. To speed up the blueing on these mushrooms put a young mushroom in front of a fan or in the refridgerator, both cold and rapid drying cause these to blue stronger.

Psilocybe caerulipes....yeah and yeah
-------------------- Dreaming of that face again. It's bright and blue and shimmering. Grinning wide And comforting me with its three warm and wild eyes. On my back and tumbling Down that hole and back again Rising up And wiping the webs and the dew from my withered eye.

Those are very nice caerulipes. I am going to pick tomorrow after about four days of rain straight in PA. It hadn't rained in about two weeks.
Happy Hunting!

Naaaw, I think it's yer monitor- I see the blue!! In fact, the entire cap of that one specimen appears a dull grey-blue colour, and the bruising on the end of that stem is prominent. Nice finds man!!
