Ice found on Mars.

Its been theorized that Mars once suported life and we can tell by the surface of the planet that there were rivers and oceans. Untill two weeks ago we theorized that their could still be water on Mars then some pictures were taken capable of reading the makup of the surface and it clearly shows a great ocean of water still exists under the southern polar cap.
SO with this said I believe even more than ever that we will find prof of other life on mars in my lifetime. This gets me thinking? what if we find bone structured animals? what if we were to come across a structure, that was built by some sort of inteligence? What would happen to the world as we know it?
Would the religious finatics go nuts and blow us all up? Would secret cults rize up and let themselvs be known?
Could this mean the end of all our fighting or the begining of our destruction?

We are the descendants of martians.
Like our martian forefathers, we will surely
destroy this panet and leave it a dull red, lifeless planet.
It's just a matter of time until we have the doomsday machine built.
or maybe not.

Ice on Mars, big fat hairy deal... There's ice in comets too. Guess what, there's ice in my freezer and on the north pole too. So what???? Ice does not equal life. If it did than Bud Ice would spontaniously come to life and drink you...

Some people really want there to be life outside earth, some people really want there not to be.
It's kind of wierd really.

Water does mean life. Its the primordial soup that spawns all life through the cosmos and this is an alien ocean of it right in our own back yard. If you were to thaw the ice in your freezer you and look at it under a microscope you would see lots of micro organisms, let that sit for a hundred thousand years, who knows you may grow a fish out of it. The reason this is such a HUGE find is that ALL water on earth holds life, their is life floating in every inch of water on the planet, from the north pole to the south pole this stuff can withstand boiling volcanic tempratures and hundreds of years of freezing, it always seems to rejuvinate its self and "come back to life".
Water is verry much a living thing my friend, you watch we will find something in the ice on Mars in our lives...

I think I agree with John Lilly..We should stop spending so much money searching the skys for intelligent life when we have intelligebt life right here on this planet.Interspecies communication is right around the corner and I look forward to that day.

My oldest brothers been telling me that for years. Course he ate way too much lsd in the seventies. I kinda doubt it though cause he (my brother not god) is kinda hairy and dirty. This lowers his credibility to me.
We should mine the water on mars and sell it to hippies or somethin.
