slew of little brown mushrooms

Hello!
Today I found a whole bunch of mushrooms on my lawn. Last night it rained really hard, and today I noticed 50 or so mushrooms growing on our sod (rolled high quality grass). Anyways, of course I am trying to see if I can safely get high off them. They appear very similar to liberty cap, but there are so many mushrooms out there I cannot be sure.
cap: light to dark brown 1.25 inches at most gills: medium brown to almost black stem: white to light brown and hollow, peels into fibers easily Spore print: dark brown, almost purpleish?
when bruising the mushrooms I can't get them to turn "bright blue". they seem brownish black if anything, maybe with a slight greenness to them?
these mushrooms were picked in northern virginia.
are there any mushrooms in my area that fit this description and are poisonous? it is seeming almost impossible to ID these, I have been trying for hours now. Any help would be much appreciated.

also, the stems are rather long, some almost 4-5 inches.

The brown print indicates Panneolina sp. At any rate, they are absolutley not active, sorry.

He said dark brown to purplish - that sounds like a cubensis print to me if it was dark dark brown to almost the point of being black.
Also... does the mushroom bruise like seconds after you pinch it or touch it on the stem? The bruising I have seen on cubes has never been a "bright blue" but almost a green-blue color.
It sounds to me like they could be active but I am no expert,I only have a few shroom grows under my belt. But if I were you I would get confirmation from more experienced hunters.

Don't eat them. They aren't the funny ones.

Look at the timestamps.
And these were probably not the same as yours Occult. This request wasn't even enough to get a 100% ID, so it won't help you. Also, yours were found in a garden and these were on a lawn so it's unlikely they are the same. Many mushrooms can fit into that description, and we can't be sure the user even knew what they were talking about. I know my first mushroom descriptions were awful!
