Have a look at my jars...
    #5789012 - 06/25/06 09:54 AM (17 years, 7 months ago)

PEEQEQ

I believe it's been about 20 days since multi spore inoculation in 8  jars of WBS with Foomanshrooms "Easy S&S Tek". Four jars were inoculated with a homemade syringe from a print from my first grow. The last four were inoculated with the remainder of a PE syringe from THE.

Several jars are colonized except for a little bit at the very bottom as shown in the first and third pictures.
A few look like the jars in the second and forths pics, which to me look like they just need more time. The last picture is a jar at 100%-the only one.

I notice that the uncolonized WBS is a little loose at the bottom of the jars and wonder if it will be able to get colonized if not into direct contact with the myc? Know what I mean?

I shook at about 50-60% colonization, and flipped jars about 5 days ago now.

I'm not sure which way to flip them now to get that last little bit on the bottom colonized.

The jars are sitting directly on the bottom of a TIT at 82-84f. I think it stays closer to 84 average.

Any suggestions?

EDIT: I just noticed that the jar that kept it's label is the only one fully colonized...hmmmm...coincidence?

Nice job with just one suggestion. Looks like you didn't shake those jars but don't do it now. I'd recommend doing so around 5% and 30% colonization. Some people suggest one shake around 25%, that's fine too.

Don't get me wrong, you don't want to shake jars constantly. Eeach time you do the myc takes 24-36 hours (in my experience) to re-knit itself and resume growth.

Points well taken. I think I got a bit overboard on filling due to using these small jars.
