Feeling Positive

Today was my first day of quitting a very nasty opiate...again. I haven't wanted to quit but felt I had to for financial reasons and because it was just getting to be out of hand again. I woke up pretty late today after one last night of use and felt cold and sweaty pretty shortly after. Its a warm but breezy day, which probably contributed more to my already confused body. I took a hot shower but as soon as I got out I felt freezing cold for another 45 minutes. Finally my 4 mgs of Suboxone kicked in and I started to become lost in my activites on the computer (namely surfing the Shroomery). About an hour ago I really realized how great the Suboxone was making me feel and I decided to take a short ride on my new bike - nothing strenuous, just cruising around and listening to Shpongle on my headphones. For the first time in a while I really noticed how vivid the colors on the trees were around me, and I was filled with this happines, and most importantly I finally wanted to be rid of opiate dependence. It made me sad to think of all the money I recently wasted and I may have missed my chance at some of the only legit acid to come around here because I had a one-track mind and all my money went to one thing. I even traded the last of my mushrooms to my dealer to get more. However, that aside, I have been feeling very happy and positive. I really hope its not just the Suboxone and I can feel this way more often. I just wanted to share that and thank the Shroomery for giving me a place where I can read and be inspired by other people and put things in perspective.

Nature always has that effect on me, no matter what. I'm unfamiliar with suboxone, but if you enjoy being outside, then that is probably the only high you need. Congrats on realizing and succeeding on your goal.

Congratulations bro!
Just stick with it and you will have something to be proud of. Its a great feeling to know how beautiful your Life/surroundings are isn't it? Life is too precious to waste on meaningless drugs; you should possibly try taking up hiking or camping? The outdoors give me a natural high that chemicals just cant replicate.
