50 questions
    #5786404 - 06/24/06 11:45 AM (17 years, 7 months ago)

This is my 2 1/2 year old Green-Wing Macaw,

We've been together for two years, this is not a pet, but a companion, and should out live me, if everything goes well.

What's it's name; 50 questions with yes and no answers.

pretty damn awesome if you ask me.

I've got an umbrella cockatoo myself, she's 13 y/o round abouts (the previous owner didn't give me much information, and as a matter of fact when I got her she'd been self mutilating so bad she only had a max of maybe 20 feathers.) healthy now, and absolutely beautiful. She's a talker and in her younger days would hold a bowl in her mouth to toke... though now she's just cheap and shoves her open beak in your face for some exhaust shots, a socialite at parties like you would not believe (just make sure you watch your guests... have had a couple people offer her a beer... lol)

The dingers do tend to grow on ya, I miss my 'too miserably--she's staying with a friend until the house (currently under renovation) is safe for her--lots of fumes and such.

You've got a very pretty macaw, awesome detail on him (I'm guessing because of the light, broad beak, though I admit I'm not familiar with sexing birds lol) Anyway, I guess I'll start it off, is it male or female and if one or the other, is it a unisex name?

Well very cool, but I am sorry to hear about the problem,

Birds are very tricky and can develop psychological problems,

I would look a getting her help, they can recover but it is difficult,

I would love more, a small flock, but my wife can barely tolerate this one

The bird is named after someone specific, is that specific person a household name in America?
