Here are some pictures of my new stirrer. It has 2 speeds , and I built it so that there is room for a second motor so I can do 2 LCs at once. If there is enough interest I will produce some for sale (obviously the ones for sale will be better finished, this is a prototype afterall)
Pictures of the unit itself:

Here's a little vortex actions for ya

Not to be a naysayer but,
Selling any electrical devise can be a fire hazard!!!
Is there a fuse and what is in it, I doubt that you have R&D this and tested it thoroughly.
All I am saying is a great idea, but it could cause problems what is in it and how is it made.
I would get a part list and even make a pictorial

As far as R&D goes its a stirrer not a satellite defense system It is being put through it's paces as this is being typed. The motor itself is from a brand new fan and the wiring is exactly how the fan was wired, so I have no doubts that it will be fine for continuous use. I may have to add some vents for cooling and increased longevity for the motor.

OK so heres and update on my stirrer. As I suspected the box needs ventilation. I found that the metal plate on the top conducts a large amount of heat to the jar. The trial LC was roasted so I PC'd up a couple new jars of Karo water tonight and I will make some changes to the stirrer and inoculate the jars tomorrow. Hopefully soon I'll have a nice thinking LC for Snaggletooth.
Chainsaw1298: thats a half pint jar, and if I can work out the bugs I'll be posting a Tek so you'll be able to see exactly what I used
