cat has a peeing problem.. help!

well we have 3 cats, but one is always peeing on stuff. it hasnt been TOO bad until this past couple weeks, i caught him peeing on things 4 times today. its crazy, cause i love him alot and i dont want to give him away.
whats also kinda weird is when he pees its not much. when he used to pee it would be a real pee, but most of the time its small, like a person's spit.
so my question: anyone got any advice? can cats be trained (by more or a professional) to not piss? are there any products that i can buy to help? thanks for the answers guys

Is it an unneutered male?
I'm not asking for me, but for a friend...
If so, they are the most likely to start pissing around the house when they had never done so before.
A solution would be to get him neutered. I had the same problem with my cat at one point.

yeah man, your cat is a male, and not neutered. Once you get him neutered, he will stop, until then, you will have a stinky house.

Happened to me, once I got de balls chopped off, he was pretty good, only peed once on my sheets now since then.
If that doesn't help, he could have a urinary tract infection.

Stay hidden by something he likes peeing on with a squirt bottle or watch for him. Just surprise him as much as you can when he does it with a little squirt and a sudden movement. Should solve it after a week or two...
or if you want to go the more expensive way you could always run a 100volt current throughout your entire house...

you also say you have multiple cats. This could also cause an issue if you're using one litter box for all of them and not keeping it clean enough, or, if he has a distaste for the sent of one of the other cats.
before you spend the $ on getting him neutered, if you haven't, try giving him his own litter box.

I have a female, neutered, as a kitten peed once in my laundry basket the first day I had her, never missed the litter box since. I "love" the cat, but come on, destroying my shit?!? the cat would be gone within days.

It could also be a sign....i had my cat for like 8 years and then he started to pee on things.....we took him to the vet and they told us he was sick and had a urinary track infection.... cats dont just pee on things to show other cats whats what but they do that to tell you things also....keep an eye on him or her....see if its somthing els. have you ever taken him/her to the vet and got a physical?
