Hi everyone,
It has been a while, but I am back posting pictures of mushrooms, something that I haven't been able to resist even though I have no time!! Please notice my jazzy new avatar and the new location.
I came across a couple interesting mushrooms recently, and neither with a solid id. The first one was out toward the edge of a cliff so rather than endangering my life, I took a shot with the zoom. I think this mushroom should be Agrocybe cylindracea, an agrocybe that is cultivated in Asia as a semi-medicinal. You can see the wrinkles on the cap, the pronounced annulus laden with brown spores, and the grooves in the stalk if you look closely. I am far from sure on the id, but I have found this mushroom before.

The following two are likely ganodermas--it is still growing beside the stump of a palm, and I may harvest it at some point. The coloring does not seem to match any of the ganodermas, but calidophilum might be a possibility. The substrate should be right.

And this is from my lunch box!
I think it might be a Coprinus of some kind--have to check the grocery store.

Hey there, nice shots!!! Cept for.. um, that last one... eeewww.
Looked at some Agrocybe cylindracea, there is quite a lot of variance in the general appearance of that mushroom. Grows off wood i see, so it's a ringer for the species, can't say for sure though, as i'm sure you are aware, we'd need a pic of the gills and other such info that could only be attained from harvesting.... I think you should have climbed the cliff! Come on- in the name of science!
I looked up some Ganoderma and polypores, couldn't find any photos of Ganoderma calidophilum... Did find this mushroom, which looked fairly similar.

The ones in your lunch box might be Volvariella volvacea, the widely cultivated Paddy Straw Mushroom.
Nice photos, and good to see you back. Taiwan, eh?
Happy mushrooming!
