Lazy Rhizmorphs or Evil Cobweb?

Okay so I check my jars yesterday and find this thin patch of what I THOUGHT was myc but then today I notice it is a much lighter white than my other myc (which is growing VERY abundantly in the same cake). It is also slower growing than the other myc in this particular cake (similar in speed to my other cake's myc tho) and more whispy rather than thick strands like the myc.. I have scanned the jar in both places, one where i KNOW its myc, and the other where the possible contam lies. Here's the image...

P.S. If i inject a little bit of H2O2 onto the affected area do you think it will be fine since H2O2 will degrade into water and oxygen quickly when exposed to light?

That picture is tough to make out, but mycelium can look cottony as well as strandy. Cobweb spreads fast and generally happens in the FC and is much more common in casings and bulk substrates. Your injection of the jar was risky. It will set colonization back some and maybe let loose other contams in your jar. Hope it works out.

The jar in the picture looks all right. I would keep them and let them finish. Cobweb will spread really fast and has almost no texture. If they progress slowly, you are in good shape. Just be patient. GL.

look, if you just let it cover, when you birth take a wiff of the cake. if it smells shroomy, its good. if it dont, you'll know. cotton mold smells rank, like a cellar built in the 1400's that never seen air. you'll know.
