Cacti Soil/ Green Mold

Okay after looking through the contam section of the FAQ's I have been able to identify a mold (green mold) that has worked its way into my VERY young Peruvian Torchs' substrate. I realize that this may be because of an overly abundance of organic matter in my cacti soil, but pray do tell how I might save my fair little ones. I know misting with H2O2 helps fight cobweb, but would this help fight Green Mold? Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

Yes, yes there is. You see, my newly sprouted cacti are YOUNG, VERY YOUNG indeed (popped up just two days ago). With them being so young, I'm sure there's virtually no hope of ever being able to keep them alive during a transplant. Thats the change of medium dilemma.

Well that could possibly work, but it being part of the fungi type, I'm worried that even if I DO scrape it off that it could be imbeded where I cannot see it. However I guess for a temporary fix I could try and see if scraping it would help.

spray the soil with a mild H2O2 concentraion, I use 2 "glugs" of H2O2 per Ltr of water though it is a mild sterilzer so more wont realy hurt. Also give the seedlings more air exchange for a week and see if that helps, the seedlings will suffer but iv never realy witnessed much loss in growth from red/brown seedlings.
This is a very common problem with growing cacti from seed, they will be fine.

Okay. Well I had to leave for work for the weekend, and after scraping off the moldy area and a large portion around and under it, there seem to be no recurrences. Just so you know I have been trying to keep the humidity up as suggested during the cacti's sprout growth phase. However, I only once during watering have I not added H2O2 to the mister. Anyways, as for now the problem has been solved, and I thank all of you for your help.
