type of vermiculite to use for casing?

yes i know i searched but i can't seem to find an answer. so what's the correct (prefered) coarseness of vermiculate to use for casing fine, med, or coarse?

country cottage vermiculite (horticulture grade)

16 qts should sell for 6-8 bucks

I use the medium grade, which colonizes a little faster than fine, IME, and is easier to eyeball with moisture content. Any will work, though. GL.

I use any Horticultural grade.  As far as size ET uses nothing more than 1.75mm in size.  Great stuff so I would say that should be safe.

I prefer the larger grade, but lately all I can find is the fine. It all works.

coarse grade is preferable for all purposes (possibly excluding pf tek)
