That is most definitely not Psilocybe cubensis, not even close. Panaeolus or Coprinus maybe.

Uhh, I don't think that is a cope... Does it bruise heavily and unmistakeably blue?? I think it might be Panaeolus papilionaceus.

The cap resembkles Panaeolus sphinctrinus but the stem resembles a Copelandia.
Adn Cure Cat,
Panaeolus papilionaceus is actually very close to Panaeolus subbalteatus.
This is another error in paul Stamets book Psilocybe Mushrooms of the World.
I have images of P. papilionaceus form Asia from mycological journals form the early 1900s which the drawings of P. papilionaceus resemble P. subbalteatus and also the caps go flat as do subbalteatus.
The P. shopinctrinus/campanulatus are conical to bell shaped and do not go flat in age.

Yes, yes, I could not agree with you more. During the past rains ('bout a month ago) I had come across hundreds of Panaeolus mushrooms, some of which did not resemble the typical subbs and foes I'd come across... So I did some research and looked at dozens of photos of different Pans, and to my confusion, found that examples of one Pan species, resembled indistinguishably other examples of an allegedly different Panaeolus species. So in essence, I'd think the only way to conclusively differentiate would be to look at the microscopic features of the spores. That said, I do my best to identify species on the basis of information available, and make evident any shadow of a doubt I have, simply because I cannot under most circumstances give a 100% accurate ID without the specimen in hand, and/or a mocroscope.
Thanks for the info!
