since my first trip i've been thinking of all sorts of things i plan to do for my next one. i got a stobe light, black light, wall tapestries, action figures, my DS, battlefield 2, my fish tank, my food stash, my psychedelic slideshow, many live concerts downloaded, the woods near my house, my skateboard, stuff to draw on, stuff to write in, and more shit i need to think of.
any suggestions or warnings?

Yes yes yes what to do? Set and setting. Personally I find getting caught up in the moment is the best. You feel like turing on the strobe, and black light good. Stumble around and find your DS good. I find when using psychedelics it's all what you feel like doing in that moment.

There are basically two types of people who trip when it comes to the activities they find interesting while dosing.
Those who sit there in silence and let things happen. Then there are those who want to find something to do.
It really is as simple as that. I would not last long in a room with a bunch of kids/adults laughing their asses off while playing video games on hallucinogens. No glow sticks, or nitrous oxide. No loud shitty music. No operating heavy machinery.
I am alone, or with one very good friend who knows alot about hallucinogens, and enjoy long walks in the forest or a 6 hour long conversational slurry of imagination. We often forget that the music stopped even when we noticed it had ended already. We then struggle to put on the next cd at a nice comfortable volume.
Maybe we would pick up a guitar and bass here and there. I have made my way out of many high dose peaks by arguing with my guitar about what I had gotten myself into, (Its like a math/music/logic festival of color.
Just to help explain the different types of people there are out there who trip, I would tend to say that those who can sit and pick apart each others brains and just listen to music is my cup of tea. Even when we were young we would just trip in the middle of an open feild or the middle of a forest, and then thank god for the moment when we could go back inside and just chill with some music and talk if we felt like it. We would even look into buildings and think of how cool it would be to just go inside the building(schools etc) and just trip together in silence(in a foreign environment).
For me dosing is the activity. SO when alone my only "trip toys" are a pad of paper, a good friend(one friend preferably), a guitar, some good music, and/or the great outdoors. None of which I usually take advantage of while tripping. Its usually just me and the outdoors. Maybe I light a thick fire now and then. I think thats the most interesting way to go about it. SOme people have a totally different opinion. I likely would never trip with those types of people though. No offence at all. Im just very interested in hallucinogens, and am a pretty unique character.

If you feel safe in the woods I would suggest building a small fire and tripping in the woods with a close friend. I love tripping in nature and you will most likely love looking at the fire.

Or depending on how strong the shrooms are the fire might not be such a good idea.....: )

I would try to avoid elaborate plans. Have everything there so that you'll be comfortable, but once the trip begins, allow yourself some room. Things you think might be interesting while tripping may not be.
For instance, I have an Aztec calendar, hand painted on a bit of parchment. It has the ambiance of an ancient relic, and looks it. I assumed it would interest me to no end while tripping, however, once I began the trip, I found it somewhat boring.
Going outside is definitely a good idea. Especially since it's a great season for tripping (assuming you are in the northern hemisphere).

Whatever your plans are, just make sure to leave yourself with plenty of options. If an outing or whatever doesnt go to plan, make sure you have some kind of back-up or alternative. Its a terrible thing to feel trapped or claustraphobic while tripping.

Go for a long walk with some good tunes on headphones. I always enjoy doing that.
