Naw man, those look like Panaeolus foenisecii. Take a spore print, I bet it comes out dark brown. (leave the cap on the paper for atleast 3 hrs... if it is a black print, it is probably Panaeolus subbalteatus, but those look like foes to me.

How can your mushrooms be copelandia cyanescens, and panaeolus subbalteatus? They are two completly different mushrooms, and they dont even look alike. Copelandia cyanescens doesnt grow anywhere even close to new york anyway. Your mushrooms are panaleous foeniscii. They look a lot like panaleous subbalteatus but are completly inactive. Looks like you have a lot more research to do...

As I told you on AIM earlier, they are not cyanescens... they don't grow in NY naturally anyway. Copelandias will bruise blue all over - bright and unmistakable blue. You said the spore print was jet black, so that would suggest some other species of Panaeolus.

Those type of Panaeolus when they're active rarely ever bruise blue...
Psilocybe semilanceata which has the highest Psilocybin content ever found commonly fails to bruise blue....
The most used active Panaeolus in the world....SUBBs..... commonly fail to bruise blue?????????????

yeah but those arent subbs.... not until i see a JET BLACK, not dark brown, spore print. They look just like foes to me. He wanted to trip so bad that his mind placeboed (lol dont think thats a word) some fake effects. And Jlips, dont just eat mushrooms that you arent 100 % sure of what they are. You could end up in the hospital or 6 feet under ground... =) (on a lighter note, found a mess of cubes in college station last night that i will be posting pics of later )

The subbs I find also have a reddish/brown stem, which set them apart from the off-white stems of foes.
