Synthesizing Guitars
    #5781204 - 06/22/06 05:37 PM (17 years, 7 months ago)

Wondering if there are any not so difficult ways of synthesizing guitar riffs to create songs. I am a drummer and my physical talent with guitars is extremely limited though my knack for construing creative rhythms is not.

I'm curious if there are any programs or other means by which I can create the realistic (not midi) sounds that are in my head without actually having to physically pluck or strum strings. :smirk:

Slayer is awesome if you want electric guitar. It's not easy, but I don't know if anything is, if you want really realistic sounding sequences. My co-producer and I have created some stuff that is nearly indistinguishable from the real thing.

Yeah, Slayer is a good vst for gritty electric.

It's unfortunate that guitar is the most poorly synthesized instrument...
Sorry, I never really run into that, since I'm a guitar player by trade.
