Premature Pinning For Accidental Light Exposure To Casing
    #5780445 - 06/22/06 01:08 PM (17 years, 7 months ago)

I accidentally exposed a few poo casings to light. They are nowhere near complete colonization, but they have already began to pin. What is the best action take at this point?

Yes let them be as patching will be unaffective at this stage. Accept that your pins are set although your overall yields will suffer you can expect some larger fruit possibly. GL bro

If you are using the optimal parameters for incubating you can still pick those early volunteers and case and then follow my pinning strategy and hope for a bumper crop! GL

Thanks hyphae. I think that's exactly what I'll do.  I'm going to have to do a lot of scrambling around.  I wasn't really prepared and don't have enough casing material.  At least it gives me an excuse to check out a new hydro store I found.

p.s. By the way.  Thanks for the oyster flour link.  I've put that to some good use
