newegg.com has some kick ass deals, a great reputation and their shipping is very quick. you could pick it out at the store and buy it online, thats what i would do, and you will save plenty of money.

buying online is the way to go..best buy, circuit city, and all those other retail stores are high priced usually, even if the particular camera is on sale or on clearance. if you have the time to spare and can wait on the camera to ship, then buy online by all means.
the new sony, nikon, and canon models that are out right now are all fairly decent. i'd stay away from kodak or any unfamiliar brand like pentax etc etc

canon powershot is a great line, most of the cameras are easily affordable and provide great results.

i would also suggest a canon, great cameras to use and easy to get great pictures with. I ahve a canon and an olympus, both take great pictures, but i like the canon since i dont have to fuck iwth it as much to get the pic i want, my olympus sometimes i have to take a pic 10 times to get what i want, messing with all the settings.

ok pic 1 & 2 is phalaris, pic 3 is desmanthus leptolobus, pic 4 is pachycereus pringlei and pic 5 & 6 was seeds labeled pachycereus pecten aboriginium, however i believe they are pachycereus pringlei. any further identifications on these would be appreciated.

it would be a good idea to get a Photobucket account, then copy and paste the image location into your posts, after hosting them on photobucket. i usually resize all my shots to 750 x w/e pixels in photoshop, or whatever photoediting software came with your camera. also, if it has "save for web" it would be a good idea to use that, it will make the file a lot smaller. good luck, your photos look good so far! is that phalaris?

Are you using normal potting soil for your cacti?

bag bought cacti soil. i figured i would get more responses about the lagochillus inebrians since i cant find any good pics of it. check out pic 8. they seem to be growing faster and larger everyday. until last night we had a horrible rain that beat the shit out of everything. wildflowers+poppies got it the worst. luckily my other 2 plots of poppies took it fine.
