i was gonna dunk then decided not to and the shit broke in 1/2!
can i put it back in the container and put casing material in the side to hold the break together?
will it reconnect?
quick help please!
also there are a ton of pins and they don't seem to be aborts
can there sometimes be no pause between flushes?
this B+ strain
i should've left the dam thing alone!

hehe...the strain makes no difference in this matter
why not leave them in halves? If you squeeze them back together they may grow back without casing material in between...i am not sure, though. If you used casing material you could get contaminants very easily without knowing.

Im assuming there is two large pieces, he said it broke in half. Just put it back in the container. It will be fine. Even if it doesnt reattach. The same thing happened to me when dunking.

They break in half all the time when I'm dunking. They do just fine. Try to avoid breaking them, but if they do, don't worry. RR

You can dunk right in the tray it grows in. Just leave it under the gently running kitchen faucet for a few hours. Let the water overflow the tray and run down the drain. The running water will prevent bacteria buildup during the dunk and might even wash a few contaminant spores off in the process. Put a couple of rocks or whatever you have on top of the substrate to hold it submerged. RR

RR, I've had a question now for a while concerning this issue. When breakage occurs, or even partial breakage, is there energy exerted by the network to fuse back together resulting in a delay, reduction, or even prevention of fruiting for subsequent flushes?

They usually don't fuse back, because they've already left the vegetative growth stage. You end up with two smaller substrates. I keep them in the same tray and usually dump fresh casing material around the edges and a small amount on the top to replace what washed off during the dunk. RR
