plus they are debatebly deadly and so i think 50 of these... could possibly give you quite a sore stomach ... if not some intense vomiting.Although in my experiences i didnt feel any illness to speak off. theya are quite a slimey mushroom.. .and hard to get down... ahhhhhhhhh.... where is MJ, we need some help, surely he has ingested this mushroom... Or not>?

Hey Horse, why are there 5 of your posts in a row?? I've noticed this trend of yours throughout the threads, yet the number of posts listed under your name doesn't seem to rise, what is going on??

If you went back to your first post you ever made........its still going to show the up to date number of posts youve made.....as it will the up to date avatar(not the avatar you had when you made your first post)....will always show your up to date location, etc......only thing that wont change is date registered.....
Speaking of avatars.....you should watch that (oh...I see that you are).....cause those snails have very sharp eyes and will turn on you in an instant quik as lightning.....dont let that slow pace fool ya......its all a facade !

Ooooh oh, yeah i remember now, i totally forgot about that consistency of avatar and post #.
Hehehe, I like snails.
I've already had to do my homework on snail sight, as I got in a disagreement with a friend and claimed that snails had poor eye sight hehehe.... The long appendages atop the snails body(head?), are tentacles, they are used to feel and move around and protect the snails eyes from damage, as the snail has poor eye sight. The smaller pokey things protruding from under the tentacles are the eyes.

Found them in native bush in Auckland. Only reason I thought they could be active was because you are so convinced that Hygrocybe conica is and these were called Hygrocybe astatogala. Like I said before I have picked both species and they both exhibit the same coloured bruising although Bertrandia astatogala bruises quicker and more intensely. I don't eat mushrooms unless I know they are edible. inski

Sorry for the Extreme posting action my friends... don't mean to be annoying. Just not very used to using the computer.. from now on ill try not to post 5 posts in a row.... Had a bit of a sneaky sub affair tonight. Very Tasty! about 1 and a half hours in actually, Good Vibes... Hygrocybe conica aye?I guess the activeness of the species is debatable and that it may not be active at all... Maybe i Have a Sensitive mind....and that is all. However isn't the dalmatian effect after cooking strange? If it isn't poisonous and it isn't active, why does it change that weird colour? hmmm lets all just stick to what we know is good aye... though i still believe laboratory research needs to be done to conclude anything here...

Feelers said: After a report from horseonsandhill about eating these and reporting a definate sensation, a quick check to see how poisonous they were actually created more questions than it answered.

It would seem from www.mushroomexpert.com that the only poisonous report(and this one is a deadly report) from these mushrooms comes from 1917 preindustrial China. Not exactly the best place for an accurate ID.
It seems there are people who have eaten these and reported them edible. Also it seems that they are psychoactive too. It looks like these had their reputation ruined by the China "ID" so long ago that noone really knows what the deal is.
It sounds to me like these are "edible", horseonsandhill didnt report any poisonous effects, only psychoactive ones.
MushroomJohn or anyone else have any thoughts? If they popped up I think I'd probably give them a trial run, (very low dose).

1) This thread is more than 4 1/2 years old. 2) You eat unidentified mushrooms?

I guess next time I expect to be irregular in 4 or 5 days I'll look around for 50 or so of these.
Otherwise, I'll just enjoy looking at them.

You won't find any tryptamines in this species, or any other Hygrocybe sp. for that matter.
Apart from that, this thread is more thant 10 years old.

Placebo 100% as they contain NO ACTIVE ALKALOIDS OR INDOLES.
You didn't get anything but placebo, don't necro post, and stop eating possibly toxic mushrooms.
