This is more than likely something that has been answered multiple times, so I apologize.
On my first attempt at making LC jars, I think I messed up on a few steps. First, I think I used too much karo. I had about 1cm worth of karo puddled at the bottom of each jar before adding water. I believe I also had too much water in the jars (I was using ball 1pt jars). I had them filled up til about an inch from the top.
I bought a sack of pebbles and tossed in 1 pebble for each jar. The pebbles appear to have a tiny bit of myc growth on them, but nothing that looks decent. I'll try to post a pic when I can.
The jars themselves were modified to have a resealable innoc port and also had tyvek discs inserted beneath the lid. I figured the extra redundancy would help.
With the info provided though, can anyone offer soem advice on my mistakes?

It sounds like everything is in the ballpark, except maybe too much Karo, but I've used quite a bit and still had success. What is the problem specifically, it just didn't grow except for the small bit on the pebble? I don't use a pebble, I just shake really hard. I also just put foil on top, and I don't PC.

Well, the pebble was there to help break up myc, which is still refusing to grow almost a month later.
It was PC'd for an hour at 15psi before the innoc, but it doesn't seem to have helped much.

I followed this tek to the tee my first time: http://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/5238137#Post5238137
I've never had a problem. You may have over complicated it. Or maybe you just put way too much Karo in. How much spore solution did you inject? If I were to modify your method, I would: remove the tyvek, use a Tablespoon of Karo for the pint jar, and only PC for 15 minutes.
