I believe it. It seems like there is a very specific 'war' against L. At summer camp, a kid got busted by a plain clothes officer for selling L. Every one was way sketched out, its such a small festy, word travels fast. I really thing that the govt is out to get L. Maybe I'm just paranoid.

yeah, it would be all over the news.
Not necessarily. It only goes public when its over. Narc officers like to get the next guy up. A lot of time you don't see anything published about a bust for a few months, while the details are 'worked out.'
Sick sad world.

I haven't heard about what you're talking about, but there was a guy in front of me in line getting into centeroo on Friday nite who got searched. They pulled out 3 very well concealed tiny liquor bottles; two Jack Daniels, which should've been brown, and one Tequila...oddly, the contents of each bottle was clear. I couldn't tell if the seals had been broken or not, but the guy looked like he knew what was coming. The dude was also in his late 40's to 50's.

"We found a little more drugs this year, but less quantity it seemed," Graves said. "Last year it wasn't uncommon to find 10 or 20 pounds of marijuana. This year they are finding quarter ounces and smaller amounts. I think the word has gotten around. They are bringing what they use."

I think they would have mentioned it right about there.

Why would they release info about such a huge bust. The feds keep it quite till they fry the BIG FISH/ Right now, they just have the medium fish, and are trying to break him. I would assume right off the bat the arrest went down, and play it safe, then, when it all blows over, make sure you're safe.

all of the things Ive read are referring to like Friday. like this is what were noticing. not the festival is over here is what happened. i really don't think my friend is lieing to me, he saw it on the news. not every story goes on the web site. Ive talked to him twice. he is starting to think I'm crazy. i hope someone else saw it. its not like they would keep bringing it up every night on the news. it seems like it would be like a one night deal.

This year, 93 nitrous oxide tanks were confiscated, 80 people were arrested on various charges, 300 were issued citations for misdemeanors and 179 citations were given for possession of illegal drugs.
This was also the first year that the new Tennessee State “Unauthorized Substance Tax” was in effect. This law levies a “sales and use tax” on illegal substances separate from any criminal issues and charges. This law also allows seizure of personal property such as vehicles. According to Graves, the largest drug bust of the festival was made by the Tennessee Highway Patrol, which seized 100 pounds of marijuana, while the Coffee County Sheriff’s department confiscated an additional 50 pounds of marijuana and 12 pounds of mushrooms. When a subject with drugs is discovered, the undercover agents and staff security move him to one of the gates, where he is charged and taken into custody or given a citation.

When I was there some dready told me that the DEA demanded around 180 tickets so they could have undercovers, there could be truth to that....or none at all.

I actually heard from someone at Bonnaroo that the ATF raided some folks over in the "ghetto", the camp that is separate from the other camps. There was no mention of quantity, but he did mention the ATF and said a bunch of four-wheelers came out of nowhere and some people got busted. At the time I didn't really believe it, cuz why does the ATF need to get involved? But I guess it makes sense if it is a really large bust, the feds aren't going to let the local cops get that much loot.

ATF is pretty common at bigger festivals.... I remember at Phish "IT" fest they were the primary dudes riding around on quads busting up nitrous tanks.
