Temp Regulations

Okay so I just moved recently and I'm setting up all of my equipment today-I'm trying to find an ideal spot for incubation.
I located some small "doors in the walls" so I'd like to use that space. Only problem is that the temp in there goes from low 70's to almost 100F..how can I regulate the temp in this room affordably?
Any kind of McGuiyver thermostat with cooling/heating I can rig up?
Thanks all.

Mycelium will grow just fine at normal indoor room temperature. Don't expose them to wild fluctuations. Just put them on a bookshelf out of the way somewhere. RR

There is this foam-board-esque material they sell in home building supply stores. I don't know what it's called. But you can buy it in sheets (about 2" thick, I think). If you line your area with this material the highs won't be so high and the lows won't be so low because energy (heat) will be slow to leave or enter.
Call around, just ask for insulation board and chat up the person who answers the phone for other ideas.

Thanks Spliff, great thinking.
The room is an unfinished space, I can run power to it-I was trying to keep away from tubs and expensive items and stick to raw materials:
I like the thought of the insulation board, think it will help that much?
If I made a square chest out of it and sealed the seams I'd like to see if it will house the proper temps before purchase hmm..

Think of it this way. Know those cheap styrofoam coolers? They'll keep something cold almost as long as a bona fide Igloo but of course they don't handle damage well. So if you lined your room with even something cheap like that, it'd do wonders.
On a side note, if your house was lined with a 1" thickness of aerogel your entire house could be heated by a single candle in the middle of winter. Of couse 0.5 cu/cm of the stuff is $100 on eBay, so...
I wouldn't make a chest out of it, I don't think it comes in blocks that big.
Here, I found a link to the Corning version, InsulPINK. Almost sounds like a birth control device, huh? Or you can check out FOAMULAR, also by Corning.
Measure, measure again, plan, cut, place, tape. Instant thermal stability, cheap.

Definately do not need a heater...the room hits 100+, so I've decided with that much of an extreme, I'll keep them out where the temps range from 70-90...I still have to find a way to keep it cooler in here.. hmm

Yeah, what toole said. I can't say from experience but from what I hear, shrooms like steady temps as well as temps within a certain range.

So perhaps I can just set a cooler in this room of (70-90) to help regulate the drastic changes..hmm there is a window AC running in this room (a must have or the temp will reach well above 100F)
But I'm having trouble isolating the temp further and more accurately to accomodate our friends..
