excellent film, thanks AA
it's nice that they touch on the banking issue, but it really deserves more time to be addressed thoroughly.

i really enjoyed the beginning of the film where it explores the origins of Christianity.

as for the nature of money, debt, and the federal reserve, you might want to check this video out.

Paul Grignon's 47-minute animated presentation of "Money as Debt" tells in very simple and effective graphic terms what money is and how it is being created.

i found it on one of the links you provided.

ditto

looks like The Money Masters has resurfaced on Google. this is a 3.5 hour powerhouse historical documentary on the federal reserve. The presenter is Christian, but he hardly rubs it in your face, and the history stands on its own. As in Money As Debt, he draws from a wealth of quotes to establish the facts.

Marc is a media visionary exploring the various possibilities of future technology, especially focusing on the internet and virtual reality. His outlook is very psychedelic which makes him a pretty interesting guy to listen to. :tripping:

Here's his webpage, which has lots and lots of articles.

Some audio lectures and interviews can be found here. I really recommend  his talk Bios and Logos which he presented at Stanford University in 2002. Put it on your iPod and take it to go. :mushroom2:

enjoy!

I watched that night-before-last.
I was heading here to come post it now but you beat me!

It starts out a little too "Discovery Channel at Night"-cheesy, but gets better.

Here is 1 hour + of vintage footage from psychiatric hospitals. The first 14 minutes are silent. At 30 minutes the footage is from inside a California State Psychiatric Hospital. Vintage (and very interesting) scenes of things like severed dog heads kept alive, psychiatric patients doing odd things, etc. etc.

And the best quote from the presentation is, "He had Lionel Richie's dick." (which leads me to believe that this section was filmed in the mid 80's)

The Century of The Self part 1 (4 part series)

Part I: “He [Edward Bernays] showed American corporations for the first time how they could make people want things they didn’t need by linking mass produced goods to their unconscious desires. Out of this would come a new political idea of how to control “the masses.” By satisfying people’s inner selfish desires, one made them happy and thus docile. It was the start of the all consuming self which has come to dominate our world today.”

http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=8953172273825999151&q

Part II: “At the heart of the story are Sigmund Freud’s daughter, Anna and his nephew, Edward Bernays, who had invented the profession of Public Relations. Their ideas were used by the U.S. Government, big business and the CIA to develop techniques to manage and control he minds of the American people.”

http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-678466363224520614&q

Part III: "But what in fact emerged from this revolution was the very opposite: An isolated, vulnerable and, above all, greedy self. Far more open to manipulation by both business and politics than anything that had gone before."

http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-6111922724894802811&q

Part IV “Previous episodes have shown how this “rise of the self” was fostered and promoted by business. They had used the ideas of Sigmund Freud to develop techniques to read the inner desires of individuals and then fulfill them with products. This final episode is about how that idea took over politics.”

Quote:

"The conscious and intelligent manipulation of the organized habits and opinions of the masses is an important element in democratic society. Those who manipulate this unseen mechanism of society constitute an invisible government which is the true ruling power of our country. ...We are governed, our minds are molded, our tastes formed, our ideas suggested, largely by men we have never heard of. This is a logical result of the way in which our democratic society is organized. Vast numbers of human beings must cooperate in this manner if they are to live together as a smoothly functioning society. ...In almost every act of our daily lives, whether in the sphere of politics or business, in our social conduct or our ethical thinking, we are dominated by the relatively small number of persons...who understand the mental processes and social patterns of the masses. It is they who pull the wires which control the public mind."

I was going to post this, so good thing I searched the thread for it.

It's frightening how many people, even the professed "free thinkers" on this website and life in general do what the author warns of in the next few sentences. Even more frightening is that some don't even realize that they are "doing it" but instead fight to maintain their mental hold on pre-conceived and, likely, false ideas. It's a wonder to behold.

From the Z website:

"Zeitgeist was created as a not for profit expression to inspire people to start looking at the world from a more critical perspective and to understand that very often things are not what the population at large think they are. The information in Zeitgeist was established over a year long period of research and the current Source page on this site lists the sources used/referenced.

Soon, an interactive transcript will be online with detailed footnotes and links.

It's important to point out that there is a tendency to simply disbelieve things that are counter to our understanding, without the necessary research performed. For example, some information contained in Part 1 and Part 3, specifically, is not obtained by simple keyword searches on the Internet. You have to dig deeper. For instance,
very often people who look up "Horus" or "The Federal Reserve" on the Internet draw their conclusions from very general or biased sources.

Online encyclopedias or text book Encyclopedias often do not contain the information contained in Zeitgeist. However, if one takes
the time to read the sources provided, they will find that what is being presented is based on documented evidence.

That being said, it is my hope that people will not take what is said in the film as the truth, but find out for themselves, for truth is not told, it is realized."

"The Secrets of the Matrix" (parts 1-3) are back on Google video, so watch them while you can!

From Part I: "The power that these guys I'm going to talk about today use to manipulate, control and slaughter many of us, increasingly so, is only the power we give away every single day."

http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=7796342171726964601&q

From Part II: In that upper level of the global pyramid, they are the people that control the banking system, own the media and the trans-national corporations, generate the megabucks and they use that to place into positions of apparent power Presidents, Prime Ministers, head of the World Bank, head of NATO..."

http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=7853320144209765730&q

From Part III: "In this section I want to talk about some of the aspects of this "Matrix", this mind prison that we actually live in and how we create it and how its manipulated so that our reality becomes the reality the manipulators want us to have because it suits their agenda. And part of that is realizing that we are NOT physical bodies, whether they are black, white or sky blue pink. That is not what we are. That's a vehicle to experience this reality, we are infinite consciousness that never dies."

Enjoy!

THIS is some crazy stuff:
http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-1656880303867390173

This video starts off showing that there is no law that states we Americans have to pay the federal income tax; that it's unconstitutional. It ends up in some deeper stuff, like RFID chips and the NWO.

Damn, I had no idea.

It's not that killing, wearing, and eating animals is wrong,
it's the way they are treated while alive that's a travesty.
