What's a Good Extraction Method?

I have done lemon juice and cranberry extractions with mycelium before. I was wondering if adding vinegar or 40% alcohol would be helpful in getting more of the good stuff into a drinkable form. Anyone know?

i highly doubt alcohol or vinegar would do much of anything the only thing i really do is use pure lemon juice and it seems to work very well on small doses of dry mushrooms
try crushing up an 8th of dry mushrooms into a powder and mix that powder with a lemon/cranberry mix and let it sit for about 6 hours.. in the fridge of course.... i have tried that a couple times and was very suprised with results

Vinegar may be acidic, but my god does it taste awful. The last time I did shrooms, I ran out of lemon juice to wash out my grinder, so I used vinegar, put that in a separate cup and tried to down it after my lemon juice and I just couldn't. I got a few sips in but I kept gagging and couldn't drink any more. I don't see why you need to extract any further anyway, but if you're looking to save up a large number of individual doses, look at schneck's method in the last couple pages of the lemon thread.

how much or how of a chunk of mycelium(cake) do you have to have to extract?

Check it, I had a cake that seemed like it was never going to pin so I figured why let it go to waste. broke it up real good and let it soak in lemon juice cranberry and some vinegar. I soaked for about 30 mins, shook it well in a drink mixer, then strained it. There was still some verm in there, but it wasn't a big deal drinking it. I had a decent trip with mild visuals. I meditated for a good portion of it in a dark room and I was really able to have some intense feelings and vivid psychedelic imagery in my head the more I focused. 1 half pint cake! Before I had extracted using only lemon juice and cranberry but I used 2 pints of colonated WBS. The single cake was at least twice as potent for me. I think the vinegar did a better extraction, but maybe the wheat flour of the cake was more nutritious too. The vinegar taste wasn't that bad. It was only approximately 8 oz of fluid (combined ingredients)though.
