Myc Against Glass, H20 Issue?
    #5771025 - 06/20/06 01:21 AM (17 years, 9 months ago)

In a 1/2 gallon popcorn jar, some spores have finally started to germinate after about 6 days of incubation (at 83-84 degrees). The only myc in the jar is stretched across a small area, about 4 kernals long (about an inch), is very light, and is growing pretty much entirely against the side of kernals against the glass.

Could this be a moisture issue? I recently learned not to pull off the weight on the PC until pressure comes down, but I did that on this jar and maybe messed up the moisture content. Maybe I should inject some karo solution...  :syringe:

Thoughts?

I'm no expert but it is pretty common for you to see the mycelium growing next to the glass. Provided there isn't any pooling of water at the bottom of the jar every thing should be fine. Just remember don't overshake. It will just hinder the growth. For me that was one of those learned it the hard way sort of things.
