mycelium or contaminate?
    #5770111 - 06/19/06 10:19 PM (17 years, 7 months ago)

My first try at growing. It took a few weeks for this white stuff to get as big as it is. First signs of white happened after a couple weeks. All five of my jars have about the same amount in them. Good to go? Or contaminated?

It should have taken 7 days or so to get to that point. Something is definitely wrong if that's a few weeks growth. Try to get a better picture with good lighting.

They're actually pretty dry. It looks like there's some sitting water in those pics, but there isn't.

I didn't go exactly as the guide said. It required me to use brown rice powder, but I didn't have any means of chopping up the brown rice, nor could I find the powder anywhere, so I just used the whole rice kernals.
