The most powerful insurgent group in Iraq.
    #5768492 - 06/19/06 05:30 PM (14 years, 10 months ago)

Mujahadeen Shura Council.

Zarqawi's plan to unite a large umbrella insurgency by uniting all the Sunni and Takfiri insurgent groups into one large supergroup. Created in january 2006, They have already released absolutely devostating attacks in Iraq, Attacking a Iraqi National guard base in Diyalah in February killed 41 Iraqi national guard. They have participated in Attacks with groups of up to 100 men, very high level mobilization and coordination for decentralized terrorist organizations. They are defenitely along with IAI the cream of the Insurgent crop.

Al-Qaeda in Iraq maybe dead, but MSC has only started their reign of terror.

They will ultimately loose, just like Zarqawi.......

you a cheerleader for the group or something? I know deep in your heart you want America to win this engagement, you are just bringing up a terrorist organization to inform us, right?

Im interested in the intelligence aspect of this war, My best friend is going back to Iraq, I would join intelligence because i think a lot of peoples information on this war is fucked but i doubt they would let me in the military with my mental issues.

These groups are major powerplayers that consist of the Iraq Insurgency, if we dont learn ourselves of these groups we can never defeat them, I have never once heard the Media or the administeration acknowledge any of these organizations, You only hear about Al Qaeda in Iraq.

Our intelligence is terrible in Iraq, Their is however exceptions to this rule. In my opinion the best way to strike a blow at these organizations is strike a blow directly at their black market financiers.

Wouldn't the most powerful insurgency in Iraq be the US Military? We did manage to oust Saddam

Don't be ridiculous. Just because he brings up a insurgent group and cites information which may be of concern does not mean he supports the group. Should we rather be in the dark about things which may harm us?

Quote:

An insurgency is an armed uprising, revolt, or insurrection against an established civil or political authority, such as a constituted government or a military occupation by an invading force. Persons engaging in insurgency are called insurgents, and typically engage in regular or guerrilla combat against the armed forces of the established regime, or conduct sabotage and harassment in the land.

The US isnt defined as an insurgency, more of a coalition.

Take it for whats its worth, but just as a success happened in Iraq last week, isn't a little coincidental, that now all of a sudden there is a "new group" the likes of which we have never heard of"???
I may be mistaken, but it seems like it is the traditional downplay of people against the war. No matter what happens, refute and come up with more reasons why the US will fail........

And also, if you would admit that "they" would harm "us", then aren't you glad that there are troops over there?

You havent heard of them. Most people havent even though they have carried out attacks and have been around the last few years.

Think about why you havent heard about them as much as al-Qaeda in Iraq.

OK let me think why......Oh I got it!!! I don't fucking care about my enemy. As a former Marine patrolling the Iraqi- Kuwaiti border, all they are, is just another faction of a faction. They try to reinvent themselves, and claim they have been there for years...but in the end all they are thugs in dirty nightshirts......

from the Art of War:

Hence the saying: If you know the enemy
and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a
hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy,
for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat.
If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will
succumb in every battle.

You want to you there? You want to quote Sun Tzu? Lets do this......

I knew my enemy. He was a coward. He would set up hasty ambushes with AK-47s. As soon as a clip was depleted, he would run. Rather then fight face to face, he would put an inanimate object (IED's) in his place to inflict causalities.

I knew myself. As a corporal and squad leader in a Marine Corps infantry, I knew death starred at me with each patrol. I also knew that the more you sweat in training, the less you bleed in war.I knew that my M-16 A2 service rifle had a maximum effective range over twice the range of my enemy's weapon. I knew that if I spotted my enemy, I would fire and take out as many motherfuckers before I died. I did this somehow and lived.

I was lucky. I am rated at 80% disabled from the VA, from wounds suffered in battle. Every time I think about it, I will pick up the bottle...........

I knew my enemy, it doesn't mean I need to know his name, his ideology, or fucking how long his ragtag organization was around. I knew what Sun Tzu was talking about, I KNEW HIS FUCKING TACTICS.

So, without flaming, I will try and say this.......

Just because you can quote an excerpt from "the Art of War" does not mean you have a clue about war. Pick up a fucking rifle, hump 110 pounds of gear for 27 miles, in 115 degree heat, take on an ambush, kill the enemy, become close to mortally wounded, survive, look at your buddies wasted, stay awake at night feeling guilty for living, and then come fucking talk to me about war!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

congratulations - you're like a real life GI Joe

you and your ilk will never win this war. got that? never. why? because you do not know your enemy and therefore do not know how to win. you may be able to fight conventional armies in conventional battles, but this war is quite different from your training.

you will lose eventually.
and you provide the exact reasons why.

That's all fair when you are a soldier. When you post here in this forum, though, you are not a soldier, you are a scholar. Ignorance is never something which should be embraced, regardless of how despicable one finds these groups. Everyone who posts here has a responsibility to both share and accept knowledge. I'm not meaning to pick on you or give you a hard time, but this had to be said.

Sun Tzu was a master of strategy. Grunts (more accurately grunt squad leaders) must be masters of tactics.

Sun Tzu's advice is not designed for foot soldiers, but for those who command the foot soldiers.

Exactly. For people who want to be "scholars" here.

First, they need to know the difference between strategy and tactics.

congratulations. You are a real "Monday morning quarterback" just like the hundreds that pollute this forum. Unlike you I have experienced war, not read it in a book. You don't even know the context of the book....just blabber it out.....thats all you side can do.....

Since you know the training so well I recieved, tell me what is MOUNT and how is it applied tactically?

What is a 0311 ?

Or an 0351?

Go ahead google that shit......digest it...maybee you will learn something.

You listen here. You will be proven wrong, and the limp wristed crowd you associate with.
