tap water used in cakes? too much chlorine?

some random stranger i met in a bar last night made some jars using filtered tap water. he says he hasn't innoculated yet due to reading that the chlorine could possibly screw things up for him. how realistic is this fear? should he redo the jars or proceed as planned? thx in advance.

i think you should be ok, or the dude you met in the bar or whoever your asking this question for. i boiled my water to make myself feel better about it, but i use tap water.

i always use tap water
i never have contam probs.

my water comes from the ATHENS (Ga) water resevoir
