Only two of those can be identified as Panaeolus from those pics if they have a BLACK spores print and if those dont immediately turn blue from bruising where handled or cut then they're NOT 'active'......
Panaeolus tropicalis is considered by many as Copelandia.

Did they bruise blue? Check to see if they all have black spore prints. While some in that batch do obviously look Panaeolus species, you want to make sure that nothing else gets in there. Also make sure that they bruise blue. I can't see and visible bluing just by the pics (on my monitor anyways).

even if they did bruise blue they look moldy and all nasty i know i wouldnt eat em anyways. You know mushrooms are just like any other food it goes bad and can give you food poisoning(even if it is the right shroom).

2FiNiTe, you have a mixed collection of mushrooms.
First off, I don't even think you have any Cubes.
You do appear to have some Copelandia mushrooms, but for me to tell you with any degree of certainty I would have to see the mushrooms first hand.
In your case, I would suggest you just study them and then throw them away. Find more.
You only have one mushroom that I would keep.
I'm talking about the Copelandia cyanescens mushroom that is circled in blue in this image:

Throw everything else away. Look for more.

that picture was taken less then a half hour after they were picked and I assure you everything your seeing is brusing, these shrooms were freshly picked, why in the world would I pick moldy mushrooms? Heres some better pictures. The shrooms were eatin and well enjoyed by 4 people. I dont know how people can argue with that lol? Who said I had cubes? They are Copelandia

Hey man, I can tell you straight up that those are not Copelandias. They are Anellaria sepulchralis (Panaeolus antillarum). I have hunted Copelandias in Hawaii and found many Anellaria sepulchralis. You can tell the difference between them by looking at the stem. The Anellaria sepulchralis has a harder striped stem. The caps on the two also are slightly different if you look at them, Copes are sometimes more translucent/colored.
You say you tripped off of these? Because I never ate them, but Mushroom Johns page on Hawaiian mushrooms he says that they have trypatimne dirivitevs, but have not been proven psychoactive. So what was the trip like?

Copelandia can easily be seperated from Anellaria by usually quik BLUE bruising on all parts.....whith this consistant characteristic....stem structure is relatively inconsequential.
though I see no distinct BLUE color present like I can on Yessups..... there does appear to be characteristic bruising evident on the stem.......probably just my moniter....tho some people might have mild stomache upsets no Anellaria are poisonous.
In the case of Copelandia the BLUE bruising is PROOF of activity.....demonstrating the presence of a tryptamine derivative.......the shroom indole Psilocin...
This is the results of a chromoatography done on Copelandia cyannescens finding the indoles .71% psilocybin, .04% psilocin, .01% baeocystin......quite somewhat of a potent mix...

Very true, I don't see how I missed that, but besides the obvious blueing they way I identify them when hunting is by looking at the stem, or the cap, without even picking/bruisin them. Where I hunt they are always mixed in with the copes and I can usually tell by a glance if its a cope or not.
