First, there is a jar of Golden Teacher colonizing. It one day all of the sudden started growing incredibly quickly but the mycelium was thin and white. Now some yellow spots have formed, but I don't know if its due to bad mixing of the verm or what.
Here are those pics:

Now, the next is a jar of Pink Buffalo that has been colonizing for 4 days now. It all the sudden exploded with the same thin white mycelium I spoke of with the Golden Teachers. Is this normal? I didn't see anything like this happen when I grew equadorians.
Here are the pics of the pink buffalo jar:

Thanks guys.

I see some mycelium but Also I see what could be cobweb. You best get a 2nd opinion though, Cause I have yet to see real cobweb in my growing times.

Yes, I was thinking cobweb was possible but I've never seen cobweb in jars before.
Only on cakes due to stagnant air.

it might just be your camera, but it doesn't look very rhizomorphic...which myc should.

It's only rhizomorphic in the areas I inoculated. Very white good looking mycelium there. The rest is what popped up and scared me, especially with the Pink Buffalo jar, because it went from dime size spots to what you see there overnight.

Yes, I pressure cooked them all for 1 hour at 15 PSI. I did however PC them about 2 weeks before I inoculated them. I stored them in my refridgerator. My spores came later than I thought they would, that's why they were stored so long.
Also, I sort of underestimated the size mixing bowl I would need to fill 12 jars with substrate. So the substrate was not suffeciently mixed. Could this have something to do with whatever is going on?

Could the storage of the jars have done this? Or a poorly mixed substrate?

It does not smell. In the fridge it was only wrapped with thte two layers of tin foil used for the pressure cooking.
I did not remove the tinfoil until i innoc'd.

Here is my guess. Wile stored with tin foil, it got humid in the jar and then rained down on the verm layer, this then got germs and spores in it when you removed the tin foil, then when inoculating you pressed them into the cake.

Sounds like a good explanation to me.
I've never had problems with contams before this. Of course, I've always used my jars as soon as they have had ample time to cool.
On a slightly different note, during the sterilization process, in the PC, the top layer of verm seems to almost always draw in some moisture. Do you guys get a little wet verm in the PC as well?
It's never enough moisture to really be detrimental to the process, but it does bother me seeing those drops of water on the lid after the foil is peeled back when I innoc.
