N. Rustica Experiences Grow

Out in the sun I clipped them taking as little stem possible. By collecting the leaves when they're yellowing a lot of the harsh chemicals oxidize on the plant, making for a smoother smoke The harvest buzz... wow. the first time you better be ready, or else it could be too overwhelming. The oils are very thick in the leaf plant. It absorbs through your skin, and ten minutes later you'll be tripping. Nicotine is EXTREMELY TOXIC That said, I rolled some of the leaf up to smoke. Some dry yellow ones at the bottom, it crushed up nice, rolled easy in Jobs, and burned surprisingly well. Taste was medium hard, defiantly not harsh. I took 3 small hits, and held the smoke for one second each time. This was my first cigarette in 7 days. The buzz was felt, it was not strong or intense. It hit much faster, and subsided sooner. It was a good buzz. I am extremely pleased with how rustica has turned out from me. I'd imagine I'll harvest over 50,000 seeds, and ten+ ounces of leaf Here's the ones I let seed.

This here is the first harvest, reading an ounce on the postal scale. I rolled it in hemp and surrounded it with semi fresh leaves, and pressed it. The juice from th fresh ones dried the leaf in brown the next day, showing where the oxidation took place.

This is near the bottom of the plant, and shows the size of some of my biggest leaves.

About three and a half to four months. The seeds are extremely tiny and need careful attention. Full sun is essential, I can say I won't need to buy cigs anytime, I'll keep packs of my own hand rolled one hitters with Rustica. Less smoke, more buzz

Very well done. About how many weeks does it take for the Rustica's to fully mature?

I'm pretty sure almost four months until you have a smokeable product. Probably soomer if you start outdoors under full sun. I started when it was still freezing indoors under 80 wats flouro, along with 20+ other seed types.

If you have a surplus of leaf on your hands by the end of the summer, I would be happy to work something out to take some off your hands.

That's not too bad. How did they take to being moved outdoors after being under the flouros?

I carefully set them out each day on my deck, only 1/2 hour at first in full sun( DON'T FORGET THEM! They'll burn!), then an hour sun, a few hours, then half a day, then all day, etc. You have to provide daily moves, and keep watered well during the transition.
