Growing faster outside? help!

I started growing some pf cakes and I saw a couple that I thought looked contaminated under a yellow light. I took them outside to chunk them and they looked perfectly white in the sun so I buried them in the dirt of a potted pine tree. I watered them every other day but didn't expect any results because it is like 95-98 deg F here in Austin Texas during the day. I started getting pins soon after that and they seemed to mature literally overnight(strong little shrooms:). Meanwhile the ones still in my terrarium grow at a snails pace if at all. I need to get a print and don't want to use the ones outside, however the ones inside don't want do drop spores. The conditions are from what I have read on this site should be perfect. Can I take a tissue sample from a shroom and put it directly into prepared birdseed or do i need to do the agar/cardboard thing?

Wait, why not take a print from an outdoor cap?

I was thinking that outside they might get mold or something like that in the gills and on the spores.

Thats the beautiful thing about outdoor grows. -Mold is primarily an INDOOR threat. Outdoor grows have been done time and time again with "unsterile" techniques. Mother nature has a way with dealing with contams. (Remember - Shroomies are outdoor creatures by nature) I personally would use your outdoor grow for prints if they are ready. -Me

Don't print outdoor caps. Insects walk around on them all day long and the large majority of the caps will have bacterial contamination over most of it.

Ignore Fastfred.
Get some outdoor prints and make a few LC's with it. If none of them turn out, then streak some remaining spores across an agar plate and isolate it until you have clean growth and then transplant that as you will.
