Take a look at that "Studio 8"... 1 pound 20 pence. Abit weird eh?

I am about to get enrolled on a full time course, can i buy that stuff and get it activated?

They will most likely all come with a cd key. So in that case yes they will work. (though you should ask the seller to make sure) If you are going to be a student then you will most likely be covered enough that nothing will be wrong. Though technically I doubt these can be resold like that.

those are probably pirated copies burned onto cd-r + code. you might as well download them for free.

Yeah i wish i had a broadband in my area, but the silly new houses were built in area where BT (british telecom) didnt bother to lay down proper connections to support fatsr than 56K networks. Assholes. You would think they would actually do some good and lay additional telephone exchange in the area where they going to build new houses.
So now im on 56K. I can do absolute minimum here. Need to buy this stuff on ebay.
